Eighth Biennial Meeting of the Social Dilemmas Working Group The Social Dilemmas Working Group was formed in 2002, with Nobel Laureate Elinor Ostrom as one of the pioneers. The conferences feature theoretical, experimental, and applied research aimed at developing a better understanding of behavior in social dilemma situations and developing models of the interaction between social context and the political-economic institutions that support or fail to support resolution of social dilemmas under conditions of risk and uncertainty.
A Workshop Honoring of John List and Lise Vesterlund The Chair of the Economic Department Sally Wallace congratulated ExCEN’s faculty and staff for the successful presentation of the workshop celebrating the work of John List and Lise Vesterlund held on November 21, 2014.
FUR XV International Conference – FUR XV International Conference on the Foundations and Applications of Utility, Risk and Decision Theory was at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia USA. The conference began on June 30 at 6 p.m. with a welcome reception at the Student Center, and ended at 6pm on July 3.
Lasa Conference – This conference and the resulting papers, presentations, and conversations were aimed to foment discussion about the theoretical and methodological challenges and payoffs of comparative experimental studies in Latin America.
SEA 80th Annual Meeting – James C. Cox was President-Elect and 2010 Program Chair of the Southern Economic Association. The 80th annual meeting of SEA was held in Atlanta.
2006 International ESA Meeting – The 2006 International Meetings of the Economic Science Association were held in Atlanta, GA, USA. The meetings were hosted by the Experimental Economics Center at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University and by Emory University.
